REMEMBERING OUR WINGS

Welcome! Our Wings community and this website with the programs it offers are sourced in the early days of the COVID lockdown. I was spending 6 - 8 hours a day on Zoom calls as we scrambled to survive at work, but despite all these hours of conversation and shared problem solving, I was feeling isolated and alone. Home alone with my two hounds for company, I felt I was merely surviving, not thriving. If I was feeling this, I knew others were as well. I did not know if it would be possible to create the community and connection I lacked through a digital platform, but it seemed the only option available. I put out a call: Meet me on Saturday morning for conversation and spiritual practice. Let's support each other in staying present in the moment and living our life out of essence. A few brave souls showed up on that first call. The result was extraordinary.

What began almost as a one-hour, weekly phone call evolved into a unique community of women wo were seeking to find their wings and reimagine their lives. We found in community that we could serve as "updraft" and lift each other up, seeing in each other the spiritual being, the "winged" being, ever-present within. The stories in the blog, Flight School course, and other services I offer here are sourced in the inspiration these winged women have provided. Preparing for our weekly gatherings helped me deepen and crystallize many of the practices I am sharing here, practices that chart a course for staying present and awake, living from essence, all day long. May we continue to lift each other up in our playful and shared quest to live a life that is deeply present, deeply human, and always sourced in spirit. Join us?

THE BLOG
These entries represent a sort of mindfulness practice for me. I write to remember. I write to stay awake. After years of pursuing wakefulness through a variety of psychological, emotional and spiritual practices, I have now come to a quiet place of reckoning: my life is my spiritual practice. My humanity is my divinity. There are no more books to be written or read. There are no more seminars to attend. Each moment is a new chance to be fully present in an unfolding miracle: human life. Read, and if these words resonate with you, please offer your own response. This road is wide, and although we have no map, we can walk it together.
